The general definition of THRIVING is ‘prosperous and growing; flourishing.’
So to thrive is to PROSPER, to GROW and to FLOURISH.
And the key for me is GROWTH. As growth implies movement. Forward movement. Not staying the same. Having new experiences and learning from them. So I can add to who I am, discover who I truly am, and live my life as this person … authentically and with no regrets.
We’re not born to this world automatically thriving. I believe that it’s a learned skill. The best life skill to have. The skill to THRIVE, no matter what.
And what this means will be different from person to person. As the beauty of it is that you can CHOOSE what this means and create it accordingly.
My personal definition of thriving is twofold.
The first involves ME – being completely happy within myself, loving and accepting who I am (warts and all!), trusting myself completely, and following my heart and taking courageous action.
The second involves my external environment – seeing my family and loved ones happy and healthy, having freedom of lifestyle and time, and making a positive impact and difference to as many women as I can.
